In 1997, I got a job working in a small boutique floral shop in the West Village to support my fledgling art career. I immediate fell in love. The colors, shapes and smells of all things botanical completely mesmerized me. I felt I had finally found the perfect medium for my creativity.
My solo floral career was launched in 2001 when I designed a beachside wedding in Maine. Over the years I have built up a portfolio of events, each one as unique as each bride and groom. I've created table centerpieces, personal flowers, wreaths, chuppahs and alter flowers. Some of the venues I have designed for are the; University Club, Olive's Restaurant at the W Hotel, The National Arts Club, Studio 450, Pocheron Studios, the Boat House, the Picnic House and the Tennis House in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, as well as private clubs in the Hamptons, Long Island and on the New Jersey Shore. Some of the most intimate and lovely weddings I have designed have been in private homes.
Below is a sampling of some of the events I have done. Please contact me if you would like to set up an appointment at d@dfasanello.com
